What is a CHAT Centre?
A CHAT Centre is a designated area of the pharmacy where a comprehensive selection of both health and social information is available to the public. The clearly segmented topics combine titles such as Benefits and Social Services alongside more traditional health information including Child Care, Men’s and Women’s Health. CHAT Centres are available throughout the pharmacy opening hours and visitors are encouraged to self-select information, or seek additional advice from the pharmacy team.

Claiming free prescriptions
Advice line 0800 9177711 for information and guidance. From April 2006 people aged between 16 and 60 who claim free prescriptions will be asked to provide proof that they are entitled to do so. Pick up an HC81 Prescription leaflet from your local chemist. If you are eligible for free prescriptions you may find it useful to apply for the relevant exemption certificate before needing a prescription.
